“From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.” - Psalm 50:2
I was born in the small town of Vanguard, Saskatchewan, but spent most of my life in Sundre, Alberta. Growing up as a Pastor's Child, Church and Faith have always been relevant in my life; God took a hold of my heart from a young age. I asked Jesus to 'come into my heart' at the age of four. After going through a dark season in Middle School, I decided that Jesus is the only reason that makes life worth living. I got baptised in the ninth grade and immediately jumped into serving the Church. I was heavily involved with Bible Studies, Prayer Groups, Children’s Church, Youth Group, and Summer Camps —all before I graduated High School.
My adult life has been a journey of fervently searching for where I can best serve God and his Church with my giftings and idiosyncrasies. I went to Prairie Bible Institute for a year of Bible courses out of High School. Afterward, I meandered through my early adult life, jumping from one job to another, one area of service to another, until I got a job at Camp Evergreen. I thought I was going to work there for a summer. But God said two years. While working, I continued to be involved in Children’s Church and Youth Group in Sundre.
As I’ve sought Jesus and his plan for my life, I stumbled upon this job. Now I’m here! Thrilled and as zealous as ever to devote my life to my Saviour and his Bride. For this I toil: Christ in me; the Hope of Glory (Colossians 1:27).
