Fourfold Purpose of LIFE Groups

LIFE Groups are a place for learning from others about life, God and yourself. A variety of study materials is used, such as Christian book studies, DVD series, Bible studies or topical discussions. Activities will enhance your life-long learning experience, suited to a style that fits your preference. “Be diligent [study] to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the work of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).

LIFE Groups are a place for personal interaction. Every person has opportunity to be heard and share perspective, ask questions and discover answers. We share and care for one another within the context of a warm and safe social environment. “May the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Jesus Christ” (Romans 15:5).

LIFE Groups are a place to experience and affirm your faith. Scripture exhorts us to be “firmly rooted, being built up in Him and established in our faith” (Colossians 2:7). Our common trust and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ is the source of our unity and oneness. “For us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him: and one Lord Christ, by whom are all things and we exist through Him” (1 Corinthians 8:6).

LIFE Groups are a place for expanding in personal growth and development of our relationship with God and one another. Growth comes by being challenged and challenging others. You can grow at your own pace but will always be encouraged to keep growing. Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches: he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
